Job Description:
This role will form part of the Strategy & Consulting team and will be responsible for providing technology and business consultancy across the organisation. The team comprises a group of highly experienced technologists who provide thought leadership and governance ensuring our clients business is world class in all areas of technology adoption. This role will focus on technologies relating to Sales function, including online store, retail systems, product catalogue and order management
Roles / Responsibilities:
Responsible for driving our clients business towards world-class technology adoption through defining the Technology Strategy, basing this on understanding and shaping of the overall business strategy.
Responsible for the definition of Architecture Vision and Target Architecture, articulating this through the Technology Strategy in terms of an Architecture Vision stating strategic objectives, business benefits and capabilities to be delivered. Translate this vision into a target architecture covering all Applications, Information and Systems in your domain.
Plan for the realisation of relevant Target Architecture, captured in a Technology Roadmap. This roadmap constitutes the real-world delivery of the technology changes in accordance with available budget and supporting projects.
Responsible for Solution Architecture and acts as the most senior designer for any programmes impacting the domain
Skills / Experience:
Degree or higher in a technical or business related discipline.
At least 8 years experience in Technology environment, in technology architecture and/or technology consulting.
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships at all levels within the business Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to articulate complex technologies in terms of business capability
Excellent analytical skills, approaching problems logically and creatively, bringing a risk-based pragmatism to problem solving.
Excellent background in IT standards and methodologies with experience of designing in a SOA environment.
Knowledge of best practice in Architecture Principals, Solution Modeling, Service Design, System Integration. Excellent core IT skills, with a keen interest in technology trends in software, hardware and systems
