Job Description:
This Technical Consultant is part of the EMEA Technology Solutions Support Office, and is specifically assigned to provide pre-sales technical support to the Inside Sales operation. The Technical Consultant will typically be assigned to a specific sales group and will be required to provide the support in French
The Technical Consultant will work with the Inside Sales people to help develop the most appropriate technical solutions to meet the customer¿s needs
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise Inside Sales (IS) in all technical pre-sales support functions, providing technical advice to IS and Partners on best solutions.
- Answer ad-hoc technical questions from IS and Partners.
- Prepare documents such as configurations, quotes, architectures, customer Q&A, and additional account information in support of IS and Partner bids.
- Provide quoting, pricing and discount levels as agreed with District Managers
- Prepare detailed topologies and architectures of customer site, before and after proposed new solutions
- Provide demos of products through Webex, EMCLive and similar on-line tools
- Work with Inside Sales Account Managers on conference calls, to support the sale and to help the ISAM become technically proficient
- Deliver technical training to IS and Partners as required.
- Deliver training on how to use the quoting tools (CXP/DXP)
- Be available for Inside Sales people to answer live customer questions in the office
Skills and Education Requirements
- Bachelors Technical (or equivalent)
- 2-3 Years post qualification experience in an IT technical role
- Typically network or systems administrator or similar
- Ideally with strong server (Windows, UNIX or Linux), network or storage experience
- Strong communications skills
- Good organization and time management skills
- Fluent French
