Job Description:
Responsibilities
Support multiple applications with a particular focus on B2B integration and Managed File Transfer applications
Act as technical expert on assigned area¿s applications, including code, interfaces, configured business processes, technical stack and data flows.
Maintenance, technical support, configuration, implementation, upgrade and development of existing programs and systems.
Coordinate with project teams, operations, clients and business analysts to translate detailed specifications into new or enhanced solutions.
Demonstrate command of programming languages, scripting, middleware applications, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage and interfacing.
Maintenance of overall technical environment to high standards of controllership to ensure a sustainable development process is employed and to ensure system stability, security and availability.
Requirements
3 years experience in a similar role, preferably supporting Gentran Integration Suite or Sterling Integrator
BSc Computer Science or equivalent
Ability to work with technical and non-technical professionals
Solid understanding of technologies and standards such as XML/ebXML, BPML, J2EE, web services/SOAP, MQ and WebSphere technologies, XSLT, JSP, PKI and operating systems such as Linux and Windows, including relevant scripting skills (shell etc).
Solid understanding of communication protocol standards such as FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2 and ConnectDirect.
Familiarity with basic network concepts such as; IP/port config, firewalls, DMZs, VPNs etc.
Relevant experience in one or more of the following fields:
Software Development
Systems Integration
Business Process Management
Managed File Transfer
Desirable
5+ year experience in managed file transfer software and services
Experience in J2EE framework
Application Server experience (JBoss, Websphere, WebLogic)
Exposure to working with Oracle products
Experience in EAI and B2B integration software, including BPM tools
Knowledge of data communication standards, protocols and practices, application software development and e-business practices.
