Job Description:
The Role :
This person will be primarily responsible for the implementation, support and enhancement of ERP and other critical business applications in a constantly changing and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the business, re-engineer business processes where appropriate and generally help the business get the best possible use out of the existing and new systems. This is a permanent position based in Cork, however, travel will be required.
Requirements:
- Support IT project initiatives including review of designs, testing and gathering business acceptance of solutions.
- Participate in project planning, tracking and controlling of tasks to meet timelines.
- Help troubleshoot issues by investigating problems, routing issues to appropriate technical resources, driving resolution and communicating status.
- Provide production support services to the business and functional users, which includes addressing, troubleshooting, and resolving user issues.
- Review, prioritize, and resolve outstanding helpdesk requests. Work with business and team as needed, and report status to management.
- Work with business lead and global site representatives to define and document enhancement request requirements, ensure proper prioritization.
- Work with support analysts, technical team and vendor (if required) to translate the requirements into the desired system change.
- Create test plans, coordinate user testing and perform system testing, and document test results.
- May be asked to support or lead IT project efforts.
- Assist with training for new functionality and refresher/site lead training.
- Coordinate and communicate the implementation of fixes and enhancements into production.
- Maintain ongoing communication with users.
- Identify areas of process improvement.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor¿s degree in business, information systems, computer science or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years professional Business Systems Analyst experience
- Extensive ERP experience is highly desirable
- Crystal, Business Objects, Microstrategy business analytics experience a plus
- Self starter with strong, proactive work ethic and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of the specific requirements for maintaining systems in a Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulated environment an advantage
- Project management skills and experience
- Project Management Certification is a plus
