Interview Preparation

Prepare for success

The following, are the essential ingredients for a successful interview, which one of our specialist consultants will guide you through.

  • Research the job, company and industry sector for the role you are interviewing for.
  • Dress to impress! Offer a firm handshake with direct eye contact.
  • Be prepared. Know the time, date and location of the interview. Know the names and job titles of the people you are meeting.
    Tip: Use the interviewer’s names throughout the interview- you will reinforce the message that you interested in being there!
  • Avoid over familiarity.
  • Know your CV, projects and skills that you have worked on- be able to discuss the highlights of your career to date. This is your opportunity to sell yourself and your achievements to date.
  • Be positive and truthful, don’t ramble. The client is usually as interested in your technical and team fit- so your enthusiasm for the role you are interviewing for, is key.
  • Anticipate any negative areas/questions, by focusing on the positive outcomes you encountered.
  • Ensure you have at least a couple of relevant, intelligent questions prepared to demonstrate your interest in the role.
